Solving material hang up

At Knauf Drywall, Immingham/Großbrittanien (Fig.), problems of material hang up in silos and hoppers occurred within the plant. One such trouble spot was within a 6 m long twin screw discharge ‘emergency’ hopper where warm gypsum was stored. The gypsum was adhering to the sides of the 4 m deep trough hopper and also building up and bridging above the twin screw discharge area.
