20 years of seminars on blastfurnace cement

The motto of the traditional seminar on blastfurnace cement, organized by the CEMEX HüttenZement GmbH, on 12.04.2011 will be “Environmentally Efficient – Powerful – Durable”. The sustainability principle anchored in the business philosophy of CEMEX will be the central thread of the lecture program. It will be held at the Conference Centre of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, Duisburg/Germany. Current developments and trends in the field of cements will be presented. Based on examples from research and construction practice, the efficiency and the innovation potential of concretes with cements containing granulated blastfurnace slags will also be dealt with. The practical implementation of measurement and testing methods as well as the competent evaluation of their results will also be tackled as well as correct claims management. Representatives from research organizations, such as the Bochum Ruhr University, Munich Technical University and the Research Association Steel Slags at Duisburg-Rheinhausen, as well as staff members from CEMEX will be ready for discussion.
