In December 2011 the Lafarge cement plants Karsdorf (Fig.), Sötenich and Wössingen have furnished proof in a certification audit for the introduction and application of an energy management system according to DIN EN 16001. With their energy policy Lafarge commit themselves to an efficient, energy-saving and environmentally conscious cement production with careful use and conservation of all the required resources. This policy includes all forms of energy and all divisions of the company – from the production and sales up to the administration. The implementation of this energy policy is ensured with the introduction of the energy management system according to DIN EN 16001. www.lafarge.de
