Beumer delivers 13 bucket elevators and six clinker conveyors to Turkish cement producer
Turkish general contractor Bilim Makina has commissioned the Beumer Group to supply and install 13 bucket elevators for cement, clinker and floury material, six apron conveyors and 13 outlet spouts for handling clinker at the Elazig cement factory in eastern Turkey. The new plant – a greenfield project, as it were – has a targeted capacity of 5000 t/d and will be operated by Sycs Insaat Cimento Madencilik.
The scope of supply includes a pair of high-capacity bucket elevators with centre distances of 133 m. The elevators are needed for feeding raw meal into the preheating tower. The size of the systems enables a handling capacity of 500 t/h – all with the help of Beumer’s high-quality steel cable belts belonging to a particularly high property class.
The entire, voluminous scope of technical equipment has already been delivered, and Beumer personnel are now attending to its installation. The project is proceeding under the auspices of Beumer’s Cement Division Centre of Competence (CoC). The CoC enables Beumer, as a full-range supplier, to provide and install just-right sets and systems of consistently high quality to all corners of the world.
