In addition to other activities, the Arab Union for Cement and Building Materials (AUCBM) organizes two alternating biennial conferences, the “Arab-International Cement Conference and Exhibition” and the Arab International Conference and Exhibition on “Environmental Protection in Cement & Building Materials Industries”. In 2008, the 15th Arab International Cement Conference and Exhibition took place at the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC) in Cairo/Egypt (Fig. 1).
