Prof. Dr. Valery S. Lesovik – 70 years of age
Professor Dr. Valery S. Lesovik, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, celebrated his 70th birthday on 09.03.2016. Dr. Lesovik is Professor for Building Materials Science at Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University, where 25 habilitations and over 70 doctorates have been successfully pursued under his guidance. More than 450 publications and some 50 patents underscore his decades of efficacious scientific work. At the end of 2015, he was Russia’s most-quoted materials scientist.
Lesovik has also earned great accolades for the sophisticated quality of his courses. His internet-transmitted lectures attract a large audience both in Russia and beyond. For more than 20 years now, ibausil participants have come to know Prof. Dr. Lesovik as a buoyant lecturer. Lesovik’s alma mater recognized his achievements by hosting a colloquium in his honour on 15.03.2016.
