Pulverized lignite as fuel alternative

At the enertec in Leipzig from 29.–31.01.2013, Vattenfall Europe Mining AG presented new supply concepts for decentralized energy generation based on pulverized lignite. The fuel from flowing dryfine coal offers the convenience of a liquid fuel and in many areas of the economy a real alternative to the imported energies gas, oil and coal. Due to the continuing demand from heat-intensive industries Vattenfall increased its lignite sales in 2012 by about 12 %. Overall, the company sold last year around 1.8 million tons of refined lignite.
