“State of the art” white cement manufacturing
With a new white cement plant in China the standard for whiteness and quality consistency can be set and raised in a large and very competitive market.
Since white cement is only approximately 1 % of all the cement produced worldwide there has not been that much focus on how to improve and make the production of white cement more efficient. There are only a few OEM’s who are knowledgeable about this and who offer equipment for the manufacture of white cement. Therefore some of the initiative has to come from the industry itself.
Some of the technologies described in this article are also applicable to the production of grey cement because the main difference is after all the color and not so much the performance of the product in general...
