Holistic VMI solution for cement plant in Colombia

Supplier-specific solution for inventory management in the Cement Industry: Cementos Argos, Colombia‘s largest cement producer based in Medellin, has been working recently with an electronic solution VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory or supplier-Stock) of Orbit Logistics. In the final stage to the Orbit system, all customers of Cementos Argos include, regulate all incoming orders and invoicing to optimize loading and unloading as well as permit a joint planning and needs analysis (Fig.).
