Innovations at the Samoter 2011

28th SAMOTER 2011, Verona/Italy (02.-06.03.2011)

Many innovations will be presented on the international stage at the 28th SAMOTER, the three-yearly International Exhibition on the topics Earth Moving, Construction Sites and Building Industry organized by VeronaFiere and scheduled to take place from 2nd-6th March 2011. The Samoter confirms once again its role as an outstanding event for analysis and trade in an area of continual industrial development.

The leitmotif of the next Samoter will be concerned with a subject of great topical interest: sustainability. The objective of the event is to provide an opportunity for awareness, training and in-depth analysis of all aspects of sustainability: safety and vigilance regarding building processes, the relationship between the environment and the economy, standards and laws for building sites, products and tools and also ethics and design.

Since 1973, the exhibition has hosted the Samoter International Award. This prize is awarded for excellent achievements in development and for success in construction and building site activity on a national and international scale. It is accompanied by the Samoter Innovations Competition in which,
during the SAMOTER, exhibiting companies receive awards for the presentation of previews of the constructional and functional innovations already introduced during production. In addition to the traditional prize-giving, which, in 2011 celebrates its 20th anniversary, a new subsection will focus on sustainability.

The exhibition will once again feature SAMOTER SPECIALS: these are topics dedicated to the individual industrial sectors, such as, for example, earth moving, concrete, road construction, drilling, crushing, lifting, vehicles and components. Each individual sector will be represented in different ways by graphic symbols and colours, in order to provide visitors and exhibitors with a guidance system to lead them quickly to the sectors of interest. The exhibition will include theme days with events and seminars covering the various different domains. VeronaFiere has concluded agreements with ANCE (National Association of Construction Companies) and AFM (Section at ANCE for management training) regarding intercompany cooperation, in order to promote the development and advancement of joint initiatives in Italy and abroad. Finally, the Samoter is a completely virtual exhibition: companies and exhibitors will be able to link to the website and to follow the event in the Internet.
