Dense phase pneumatic conveying of abrasive materials
Gericke now offers an improved cone valve (type K5 and K6) which is especially suitable for applications with abrasive materials, high pressures and high temperatures (Fig.). The valve shows excellent wear resistance for abrasive bulk materials such as cement, fly ash, sand and aluminium oxide. The valve conforms to PED and is rated up to 10 bar g. Other features of the improved cone valve are:
– Large sealing cone made of abrasion-
resistant elastomer
– The sealing as well as the seat ring can be easily replaced if required
– Optimised product flow thanks to steep angle of the cone
– Self-cleaning sealing surface
– Closing against full product flow possible
– For product temperatures up to 200 °C
– Standard material of the housing is in ductile iron (type K5) but stainless steel (type K6) is available on request
– Valve sizes of DN200, DN300 and DN400
