New limestone charging system

Carmeuse Hungaria Kft., domiciled in Beremend/Hungary, placed an order with Maerz for the supply of detailed engineering and know-how for revamping the limestone charging system on the existing 450 tpd natural gas/coal dust fired Maerz lime kiln (Fig.) at the client’s Beremend lime plant. Besides supplying detailed engineering for the adaptation work on the existing kiln shafts together with the related software control system, Maerz will also supply mechanical equipment for the rotary charging hoppers. The target of the actual revamping project, the core piece being the new rotary bucket charging system, is to improve and stabilise the quality of the quicklime which is produced with solid fuels.
