Addressing this range of topics, three trade fairs that are also very relevant to our industry have been held in the last few weeks.

At the Hannover Messe, the international platform for technologies centring on industrial transformation, around 215000 visitors learned about Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, 5G and energy solutions. Around 6500 exhibitors from all over the world presented solutions for the industrial production and energy supply of tomorrow. On a 5G test field, suppliers of network technology and users demonstrated the potential of the new mobile communications standard for application in industry.

Covering 614000 m², bauma has got even bigger again this year. In Munich, 3700 exhibitors from around 60 countries showcased their innovations to more than 620000 visitors from over 200 countries. Innovative construction machines from all over the world demonstrated the progress made in the construction industry as well as the industry’s responsibility for our environment: the latest machines operate fully electronically and free of emissions. One challenge for the future is intelligent construction based on digital design.
