Dyckerhoff receives 17 new CSC gold certificates

In March 2021, all seven German Dyckerhoff cement plants and ten ready-mix concrete plants were awarded the “Gold” seal by the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC).

The Amöneburg, Lengerich, Deuna, Göllheim, Geseke, Neuss and Neuwied cement plants had already been awarded the then maximum achievable “Silver” seal in 2018. With the renewal of the certifications that has now taken place, all plants have succeeded in achieving the “Gold” status that is now also possible in the supply chain. This step is all the more significant against the background of the further development of the certification system. With the update to version 2.1, additional evidence is required, others have been made more precise and must be substantiated in greater detail.

In the ready-mix concrete sector, the certification process was completed with ten of the total of 102 stationary German ready-mix concrete plants. Four plants at the Rhine-Ruhr branch, three at the Rhine-Main-Taunus branch and one each at the Weser-Ems, Saar-Mosel and Hamburg branches now bear the “Gold” certification seal. The Frankfurt plant of the Rhine-Main-Taunus branch has already held this award since 2019.

The CSC certificate is a global certification system for companies in the concrete, cement and aggregates sectors that focuses on sustainable production. It certifies ecologically, socially and economically responsible action.

The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) promotes transparency about the concrete production process and its value chain, as well as the impact on the social and ecological environment. CSC certification thus leads to a continuous increase in the sustainable management of the cement, raw materials and concrete industries. The industry is thus making its contribution to sustainable construction in Germany.
