New chairman

The 56th General Assembly Meeting of TÇMB on 28.02.2014 has elected a new Board. Mustafa Güçlü, who was chairman since 2011, left his position, and Sabancı Holding Cement Group President Mehmet Göçmen was elected the new Chairman of TÇMB.
Göçmen graduated from the Industrial Engineering department at the Middle East Technical University in 1981. He subsequently assumed various functions at Celik Halat, steel rope manufacturers, and Lafarge. In 2003, he joined Sabancı Holding and worked as General Manager at Akcansa A.S. until 2008, when he was appointed Executive Vice President of Human Resources. In 2011, this duty ended. Lastly, Göçmen has been appointed as Cement SBU President as of 20.07.2009.
