Building upon solid relations for a lasting success

An anonymous quote says that a relationship is like standing on wet cement: the longer you stay, the more difficult it is to leave. And even if you leave, you will always leave your footprints behind.

Do strong relationships still exist in today’s competitive world of a globalized cement business? Looking back to the last decades of green- and brownfield projects in the cement industry, you will find a number of well-established major players actively competing against each other, but also very openly building up partnerships and long-term relations.

In this respect ABB also always worked with the aim to support other major players by providing access to specific know-how in state-of-the-art technology, such as electrification and automation, and submitting offers for complete process solutions on a high technical standard.

From the first steps of the detailed project design up to the intensive commissioning phase, ABB provides professional support and develops a close working relationship with all related project partners - which is a substantial element in the successful completion of a project. Also, the flexibility to meet tight deadlines, coupled with the ability to provide experienced and professional working engineers, has always been highly appreciated and has helped to build up trust in our expertise and workmanship.

Over time, a lot of solid relationship have gradually been built, with mutual understanding, support and trust. And ABB has been proven to collaborate closely with main contractors, OEMs and various local or international suppliers: On various occasions ABB has entered into long-term cooperation agreements to share the risk and responsibility in turnkey projects, in order to jointly provide better support to clients by offering complete process solutions and generating attractive synergies for all involved partners.

Not least thanks to a close and efficient partnership and cooperation with other market players, as well as a shared respect for the respective partners’ know-how and expertise, ABB could position itself as a truly excellent affiliate and leading equipment supplier in the cement industry - and could therefore contribute a lot to the success of many key projects around the world.

To “cement a relationship” means to interconnect two or more reliable partners. Our success is based on more than 50 years of experience in the composite cement plant business. The electrification and automation of cement plants is our passion and we are looking forward to intensifying the solid cooperation with our existing partners as well as to developing fruitful new partnerships.
