World Cement Association Annual Conference 2023

The cement industry is facing multiple global crises:

• increasing energy prices;
• supply chain disruption;
• oversupply and low prices in many markets; and
• ever-increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions.

Of course, each crisis also offers opportunity to those who are willing to seize them. Customers have new priorities which moves away from commoditized demand driven only by price. Supply chain disruptions also offer the potential for differentiation.

This year WCA's annual conference will focus on how cement companies can improve profitability in the face of these crises. The event will look at developments in digital technology, new products and materials and changes in market requirements.
