Andrea Nam works for the European Federation for Construction Chemicals (EFCC) as Director in charge of regulatory affairs and standardisation. Before joining EFCC she worked for the European Standardization Committee CEN-CENELEC where she was responsible for steering standardization activities and policies in the environmental, climate and energy sectors. She also worked for the Environment Directorate-General of the European Commission where her principal tasks were policy development in the field of chemicals and later the protection of the water environment. In her earlier jobs her focus was on pollution prevention, industrial pollution control, water pollution control and implementation of EU legislation at national level. She holds a M.S. in Chemistry and an M.B.A. in International/Environmental Economics.
