21st International Conference on Building Materials – ibausil
From September 13-15, 2023, the 21st International Conference on Building Materials – ibausil will once again be one of the most important building materials congresses in Europe. The renowned forum brings together researchers from universities and companies, as well as engineers working in practice, for a lively exchange of scientific knowledge and experience. The conference venue will be the congress centrum weimarhalle at Unesco-Platz 1 in Weimar.
The main topics of the conference are structured according to materials and offer detailed and wide-ranging insights into practice and research with more than 300 lectures and poster presentations. Many users of building materials will be represented at ibausil and will report on their experiences and requirements. Not only will development trends within a building materials sector be discussed, but also the use of classic and alternative building materials. In particular, the topics of cement production, the development of low-CO2 binders or “Carbon Capture, Storage and Use” will be addressed by expert speakers. Contributions on concrete durability, special concretes, additive manufacturing and functionalization of building materials via sensor and actuator technology will address current developments and future research fields. The deconstruction as well as the crushing, preparation and recycling or reuse plays an important role in the overall context of the recycling of building materials. Therefore, numerous lectures will also be devoted to this topic.

It should be noted at this point that the conference fees will increase by € 100 for registrations received after July 1, 2023. Participants will receive the conference documents on site at the registration desk in the conference office. The conference languages are German and English. Simultaneous translation German-English or English-German will be provided in the main hall only.
