Leube expands competence in ready-mix concrete, gravel and natural stones
The Leube Group continues its expansion towards Upper Austria, Bavaria and the Czech Republic and acquires a 50% stake in the concrete and gravel company Nöhmer based in Weißenbach am Attersee. Leube Managing Director Heimo Berger comments: “With this investment, we are continuing our course for the future. Nöhmer Gmbh und CoKG is a proven specialist in the areas of ready-mix concrete, gravel and natural stones. In addition, it allows us to expand our product range in the area of ornamental gravel and natural stones.” Managing Director Ernst Nöhmer is pleased about Leube’s entry into the family business: “As a traditional regional company, it was important for us to find a partner who shares our philosophy of handshake quality. This means we can continue to offer our customers and employees reliable cooperation based on trust.” The acquisition of the shares is still subject to approval by the Austrian Federal Competition Authority.
Strategic growth
With the investment, the Leube Group is expanding its delivery area in the Salzkammergut region while at the same time focusing on sustainable growth. Through the strategic investment in Nöhmer, with its modern processing facilities, Leube is creating synergies in ready-mix concrete and gravel, – in addition, the company is already thinking further ahead, explains Berger: “The sites are ideally located for possible future expansion steps.” In addition to their high level of expertise, the long-established companies Nöhmer and Leube also share the mature structure of a regional family business. In addition, both companies live genuine handshake quality and a cooperative partnership with their employees, some of whom have been with the company for many years. “When it comes to our strategic acquisitions, we deliberately focus on family-owned companies for which the sustainable anchoring in the respective region is just as important as it is for us,” explains Heimo Berger.
In this way, the Leube Group distinguishes itself significantly from international groups and offers its customers a reliable personal partnership. The group includes, among others, Leube Betonteile in Maishofen and the Czech Republic, Leube Zement GmbH, as well as in Upper Austria Leube Beton Innviertel, Leube Beton Lassing, Leube Quarzsande GmbH or Leube Betonschwellen Werk Linz, and Hafner Beton in Bavaria.
