VDZ training courses in English in the second half of 2023
For 65 years, VDZ has been a leading provider of education and vocational training for employees in the building materials industry and related sectors. In the continuing education programs, participants not only acquire technical fundamentals but also deepen their know-ledge of the latest technologies in cement and concrete production. VDZ is pleased to announce that in the second half of 2023, two training courses in English will be offered.
The first course, “Firing Alternative Fuels”, will be conducted online from 18 to 21 September 2023. This comprehensive training program focuses on the use of alternative fuels in cement plants. Participants will develop an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art situation regarding alternative fuel utilisation. The course will cover pre-treatment methods and quality control measures for alternative fuels as well as drivers and barriers of using alternative fuels in the combustion process. The second course, the “Crash Course for Young Engineers and Scientists”, will be held in Düsseldorf on 13-17 November 2023. This intensive one-week training session offers a comprehensive overview of cement technology, covering topics such as raw material handling, clinker and cement production. Special emphasis will be placed on chemistry, mineralogy, and environmental aspects, including energy consumption and emission abatement.
