Xella makes sustainable building transparent

Sustainability is important, especially for the construction industry - but what does it mean in concrete terms? Which materials are environmentally friendly? How can energy-efficient, resource-saving and economically viable construction methods be implemented? These questions occupy architects, planners, builders and fabricators alike. In order to provide clarity here, Xella is providing comprehensive information on climate-friendly planning and construction on a new website. After all, sustainability is one of the biggest challenges facing the construction industry. Around 30% of global CO₂ emissions are caused by the construction and operation of buildings - at the same time, the construction industry accounts for around 50% of global raw material consumption. To meet these challenges, Xella relies not only on sustainable building material solutions, but also on transparent information.

“Sustainable building starts with well thought-out planning and the right building materials. With our new overview, we want to offer professionals and those interested in building concrete assistance in making well-founded sustainable decisions,” says Daniel Marczinkowsky, CEO Xella Deutschland GmbH.

On the following website, Xella offers a wealth of information on the various aspects of sustainability - from environmental certificates, calculating the life cycle costs of a building, current funding opportunities to practical application examples and specific product benefits. Anyone who wants to actively shape sustainable building will find valuable ideas and concrete solutions here:
