Densit: Wear protection materials

India’s leading national and multinational companies have experienced advantages of using Densit materials for their prestigious projects. Densit wear resistant linings are key parts in their processing equipments. Major OEM and users of Densit materials in India are ThyssenKrupp Industries, FLSmidth India, Loesche India, Humboldt Wedag, ACC Cement, Vasavadatta Cement, Ambuja Cement, Birla Cements, India Cements, Grasim, Vicat, Jaypee Cements, Prism Cements, Madras Cements, etc. Densit ApS, Denmark are supplying specialized wear resistant materials to Cement, Steel, Power, Minerals and other industries since 1983 in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 quality management systems certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. Densit materials achieve their extraordinary properties in terms of hardness, strength, impermeability, wear resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, temperature resistance, spalling resistance etc due to its technology of densely & homogeneously packed ultrafine particles bonded together chemically. The materials are applied seamlessly without any joint. Special High Temperature grades withstand higher temperatures, which is a great advantage for industries where production process involves elevated temperatures.

These are versatile lining materials used for lining various components such as Cyclones, Ducts, Pipes and bends, Venturis, Chutes, Separators, Mills, Fan casings, Valves, Sluices, Bunkers, Pits, Hoppers etc. The Densit product range comprises Densit® WearFlex (Fig. 1), Densit® WearCast, Densit® WearSpray, Densulate, customized pipes, bends and other components. A special development is a dual function system – Densulate – which protects equipment against wear at high temperatures and provides excellent insulation at same time so that the outside temperature of equipment lined with Densulate is brought down to manageable level of say 80 °C. The beauty of this material is that it does the job with thinner linings. For example, a typical Densulate system of 75 mm thickness can do the job of traditional refractory system of almost 200 mm thickness, thereby not only it saves on weight of equipment & its support structure, it frees more useful space in the process equipment. Densit wear resistant linings are reliable and cost effective solutions extending lifetime and security of equipment in industries around the world.
