Lafarge cement plants certified ­according to DIN EN 16001

In December 2011 the Lafarge cement plants Karsdorf (Fig.), Sötenich and Wössingen have furnished proof in a certification audit for the introduction and application of an energy management system according to DIN EN 16001. With their energy policy Lafarge commit themselves to an efficient, energy-saving and environmentally conscious cement production with careful use and conservation of all the required resources. This policy includes all forms of energy and all divisions of the company – from the production and sales up to the administration. The implementation of this energy policy is ensured with the introduction of the energy management system according to DIN EN 16001.
