(57) Cement composition suitable for cementing a well, and method of preparing the cement composition is disclosed. The cement composition comprises cement, water and a seeding additive for forming seeding sites distributed generally homogeneously in the cement composition for promoting growth of fibrous Type I calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) binders throughout. The seeding additive may be solid-form fibrous material having charged surface, or may alternatively be liquid-form resin mixed with a suitable hardening agent.
