The Mexican building materials group Cemex sells a number of quarries and cement plants inEurope for a total of 391 million Euros to German companies. The Upper Bavarian Rohrdorfergroup takes over the business in Austria and Hungary for 160.1 million Euros, as Cemex said in a press release on 12.08.2015. Duna-Dráva Cement, asubsidiary of HeidelbergCement, therefore buys for 230.9 million Euros, quarries, cement and concrete plants in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.

The business is to be completed by the end of the year. However, the regulators must still approve the sale in advance. With the proceeds Cemex wants primarily to reduce its debt.
