De-dusting solution for a dry mortar plant in Saudi Arabia
Working in cooperation with Haver Niagara, Münstermann has supplied a de-dusting system to a dry mortar plant operated by Adwan in Saudi Arabia.
The Haver Niagara conveyor belts and screening plants are de-dusted with SK36 bag chamber filters. These bag filters are equipped with a fully automatic compressed air cleaning system. This system is used to recover dry dust and purify gases. Münstermann engineered the filter system itself. The 3D planning of the pipelines was also completed by Münstermann. The actual pipes, however, were manufactured locally. Assembly and commissioning was the responsibility of Haver Niagara. Münstermann trained Haver’s technicians in advance.
The pulse of compressed air for cleaning each respective filter bag is supplied by means of servo-assisted diaphragm valves. Each filter module has its own compressed air tank with diaphragm valves, control valves and piping. Short electrically controlled compressed air pulses clean the rows of filter bags. The cycle times and pauses are variable and can be adapted to suit the operating conditions. The pulse rate is fixed in such a way that the installed filter surfaces are cleaned effectively.
Adwan has been happy with the filter units from Münstermann and their quality for years. Münstermann has frequently supplied Adwan with goods and services in the past – not through Haver Niagara, but through Allgaier for the de-dusting of the drying drums. The quartz sand has to be dried before it is mixed with cement or paint, etc. Even desert sand contains a certain amount of residual moisture.
