The new year already has a tight grip on us. Along with our normal everyday tasks, we are now busy initiating planned projects and contemplating new plans. What else does the new year have in store for us?
The question of how things are going in Europe’s construction sector was focused on at the 82nd Euroconstruct Conference in Barcelona/Spain, this past November. According to those experts’ predictions, the European construction industry can expect continued growth, if at a rather meagre rate. This is due in part to the fact that public-sector demand, as one of the most important factors of all for keeping the branch strong, is only expected to increase in a few countries, and then just slightly. The growth estimates for the next three years all across the European construction sector amount to a mere 2.1–2.2 %. Continuing development in the size of vertical roller mills and their corresponding rise in market share as compared to other mill types in the cement industry are only feasible with adequate drive solutions.
