First seminar on alternative fuels
Allowing for the huge interest in specific topics which the guests expressed during the Loesche Symposium in September 2014, the Duesseldorf/Germany based company decided to introduce a new series of seminars each providing an insight into a contemporary issue. The first Loesche Seminar of this kind will focus on the topic “Alternative Fuels” and will take place on 07./08.05.2015 at the Hilton Danube Hotel in Vienna/Austria.
With the world’s cement industry constantly looking for ways to cut production energy costs, there has been a strong move towards the use of alternative fuels. Firing with materials such as municipal solid waste (MSW), plastics, sewage sludge, biofuels, waste wood, used tyres and other biomass is on the increase, replacing more expensive traditional fuels such as coal.
Loesche invites all interested customers to their first Loesche Seminar with the special focus on “Alternative Fuels” that will provide an opportunity to discuss the future of alternative fuels and the latest trends for the cement and the lime industry. First experiences of processing alternative fuels in a Rocket Mill will be presented. Part of the program will be visits to the cement plants of Holcim at Rohožnik in Southern Slovakia and at Wietersdorf in the South of Austria, which belongs to the Wietersdorf Group.
