55 meter silo for pulverised lignite for Swiss cement plant

Thorwesten Vent, active in the field of constructional explosion protection, has received a contract for the design and assembly of a large capacity silo for the storage of pulverised lignite at the Holcim cement plant in Siggenthal/Switzerland. In close cooperation with their sister company Silobau Thorwesten (expert in the field of the construction of silo solutions) the engineering teams of both companies worked out an impressive solution: a 2300 m3 silo, 55 m high and with a diameter of 9 m.
