Cement clinker, consisting of the following components: alite, belite, tricalcium aluminate, tetracalcium aluminate ferrite and free lime, characterized in that the chemical composition of the clinker contains SO3 in the range of 2.0 to 5.0% by weight. and a proportion of Li2O in the range of 0.1 to 0.6% by weight, the occurrence of further phase components containing sulfur and lithium anhydrite CaSO4, Li4SiO4 and Li2CaSiO4- being combined to a value of up to 5.0% by weight.
