The symposium will feature scientific lectures revolving around serial production of building (elements) using several types of drymix mortars. For the second day a field trip to Wopfing (to the South-West of Vienna) is planned, where Baumit’s pilot plant (Technikum) for their 3D mortar printing system will be visited. In addition, two practical demonstrations of machine automation (m-tec) and curing monitoring (Ultratest) will be presented.
Topics will include:
» design and formulation of drymix mortars for 3D printing applications
» determination of wet and cured drymix mortar properties
» conveying, mixing, applying of mortars in combination, in order to achieve exact and durable 3D designs
» hardware adaptation and interface programming for 3D applications
» concepts for the industrialization of 3D printing using drymix mortars
