(57) The present invention relates to clinker, in particular cement clinker. The invention provides a method of preparing clinker and extends to clinker prepared in accordance with the method of the invention. The method of producing the clinker includes fts‘‘ heat treating a mixture of synthetic gypsum, shale and a carbon reductant.
