(57) Provided is a flux calciner that can perform adequate calcinations while preventing obstruction at a preheater by reducing the unburned rate at an outlet of the flux calciner. In the present invention, a plurality of pulverized coal injection lines (3), a feedstock chute (4) for cement feedstock, and first through fourth extraction conduits (5a-5d) are connected to a lower side wall of a cylindrical reactor body (2) the upper end section of which is blocked by a top panel (2b). A fluidized air injection opening (2a) for injecting fluidized air is provided in a base section of the reactor body (2). An exhaust duct (6) is connected to an upper side wall of the reactor body above the first and/or second extraction conduits (5a, 5b) with a gap provided between the exhaust duct (6) and the top panel (2b). Injection openings (3a) of the pulverized coal injection lines are provided below intake openings of the extraction conduits (5a-5d) and above the fluidized air injection opening (2a), and one of the injection openings (3a) is disposed below the third or fourth extraction conduit (5c, 5d).
