(57) A method is described for producing a syngas containing CO and H2 from a stream of light hydrocarbons and combustion fumes from a cement clinker production unit comprising at least one calcining kiln (300) and means (500) for discharging the combustion fumes from the calcining kiln to the outside of said unit, the method comprising the following steps: – at least some of the combustion fume (70) obtained in the clinker production unit is collected upstream of the means (500) for discharging the combustion fumes; – a reaction stream (113) comprising a stream of light hydrocarbons (110) containing methane and the combustion fumes (70) is prepared; – the reaction stream (113) is supplied to a tri-reforming reactor (1009) to produce a syngas (114).
